Standing Order
Disciplinary Matters Docket
Effective January 1, 2024, all newly filed attorney disciplinary matters including, but not limited to:
- Presentments,
-
Unauthorized practice of law matters,
-
Appeals of disciplinary orders issued by the Statewide Grievance Committee,
- Reciprocal discipline petitions,
-
Presentments involving convictions of “serious crimes” in CT and other jurisdictions,
-
Interim suspension applications,
-
Resignations,
-
Reinstatement petitions, and
-
Inactive status petitions
shall be assigned to the Disciplinary Matters Docket of the Superior Court hereby established in the
Judicial District of Waterbury at 400 Grand Street.
Unless otherwise required by law, on and after January 1, 2024, all new attorney disciplinary matters shall
be filed in Waterbury and assigned to the Disciplinary Matters Docket, and all new attorney disciplinary
matters required by law to be filed elsewhere, shall be transferred to the Disciplinary Matters Docket upon
filing. The transfers of disciplinary matters under this order are made in accordance with General Statutes
Section 51-347b.
All transfers directed under this standing order are made for the efficient operation of the court and to
insure the prompt and proper administration of justice.
