The Committee will release the results from the July 2021 remote bar exam on Friday, September 24, 2021 as planned. The Committee continues to analyze the information and data concerning the technical issues that were experienced by some applicants on the bar exam. Unsuccessful applicants that experienced technical issues will be further reviewed by the Committee and will be notified of additional action, if any, that may be taken.

star star Important Information Regarding the February 2022 Connecticut Bar Examination star star

The February 2022 Connecticut bar examination will be administered in-person on February 22 and 23, 2022. The examination will be a full Uniform Bar Examination and will result in a Uniform Bar Examination score. The application filing period, filing fees, and applicable deadlines for the February 2022 bar examination are listed below.

  • First day to file for February 2022 exam: October 1, 2021
  • First application filing deadline: (filing fee $800): October 29, 2021
  • Final application filing deadline: (filing fee $900): November 30, 2021
  • Non-standard testing petition filing deadline: November 30, 2021
  • Application filing fee: By certified check or money order only
    • $800.00 if application filed October 1 - October 29, 2021
    • $900.00 if application filed November 1 – November 30, 2021

The Connecticut Bar Examining Committee was established in 1891. Practice Book Rule 2-3 provides for a Committee of twenty-four members charged with the responsibility of determining whether candidates are qualified to be admitted to the Connecticut bar. The Committee prepares and administers the bar examination and investigates the character and fitness of each candidate for admission. The Committee recommends to the court those who have passed the bar examination, possess good moral character, and have complied with the rules of court and the regulations of the Committee governing admission to the bar.
