The AIDS Legal Network for Connecticut (ALN) is a collaborative project of the legal services agencies in Connecticut providing a statewide program that gives legal information, advice, brief service, representation, and referral to people living with HIV/AIDS in Connecticut.

Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO)
The mission of the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities is to eliminate discrimination through civil and human rights law enforcement and to establish equal opportunity and justice for all persons within the state through advocacy and education.

Connecticut Legal Rights Project
Connecticut Legal Rights Project, Inc., (CLRP) is a statewide non-profit agency which provides free legal services to low income adults with psychiatric disabilities, who reside in hospitals or the community, on matters related to their treatment, recovery, and civil rights.

Assistive Technology
Assistive technology (also known as “AT” or adaptive equipment) is defined as any item or piece of equipment that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities in all aspects of life, including at school, at work, at home, and in the community (at act of 1998, as amended).

Connecticut Tech Act Project
The Connecticut Tech Act Project’s mission is to increase independence and improve the lives of individuals with disabilities through increased access to assistive technology for work, school, and community living.

New England Assistive Technology (NEAT) Center at Oak Hill
The NEAT Center at Oak Hill is a place to learn about products, equipment, and services that assist people with day-to-day activities that they have trouble doing themselves, either because of a disability or the effects of aging.

Southern Connecticut State University – Disability Resource Center for Adaptive Technology
The Center for Adaptive Technology promotes the benefits of Universal Design for Learning by providing technology and support to all members of the Southern Connecticut State University community, as well as to the community at large.

United Way of Connecticut -211- Disabilities - Assistive Technology
United Way 2-1-1 provides one-stop connection to local services such as utility assistance, food, housing, child care, after school programs, elder care, crisis intervention, and more.

Administration for Community Living (ACL) – Assistive Technology
The Office of Interagency Innovation within ACL's Center for Innovation and Partnership oversees the State Grant for Assistive Technology Program and the Assistive Technology National Activities funded under the Assistive Technology Act (AT Act of 2004).

AgrAbility
For agricultural workers with disabilities, many solutions exist, including manufactured devices or structures, modified work practices, and do-it-yourself plans. The National AgrAbility Project provides many resources for identifying, locating, obtaining, and fabricating AT.

Pass It On Center
Assistive Technology Exchange Networks are designed to make assistive technology (AT) devices and services more available and accessible to ALL people with disabilities. AT Equipment exchange promotes direct collaboration between individuals with disabilities to acquire AT.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs – Assistive Technology
This website functions as a single gateway for VA healthcare professionals to access multiple resources, including standardized documentation templates, guidelines, coverage policies, product reviews, outcomes management, and online educational services.

Americans with Disabilities Act Coalition of Connecticut
ADACC provides information and technical assistance on the ADA to individuals with disabilities and their families, employers, private businesses, state and local government entities, and any member of the public.

Connecticut Association of Centers for Independent Living
Independent Living Center staff work with and for the consumer to promote his or her independence in the community. The centers provide peer counseling, information and referral, independent living skills training, individual advocacy for a particular individual, and systems advocacy for the community.
