There are two options available for attorneys to gain permission to bring certain electronic devices into court facilities in accordance with the Practice Book rule:

1. If you are not in possession of a Connecticut Bar Association-issued Photo ID Card:

You must obtain a photo ID card from the Judicial Branch. There is no charge for this card. The following documents describe the procedures for attorneys to follow to obtain a Judicial Branch-issued photo ID card

The first document describes the process and lists the required documentation and contact information. The other two documents must be completed and returned to the address listed on the forms.

2. If you are in possession of a Connecticut Bar Association-issued Photo ID Card:

If you are already in possession of a CBA issued Photo ID Card, you may obtain a sticker for your card which will indicate that you are in compliance with the rule. A sticker may be obtained from the Judicial Branch by following the procedure included in the following document. Please note that you will need to complete the attorney agreement and mailing address form, above.
