The examination for Court Reporter will
consist of live dictation of testimony at 225 words per minute and
jury charge material at 200 words per minute. These sections may be
passed in legs. The
transcription must be completed and returned before l:00 P.M.
Candidates may record notes with
stenograph or CAT equipment. The use of Steno-Mask or other face
mask or other recording device will not be permitted. Each candidate
must furnish their own typewriter, computer, printer and all other
supplies except transcription paper which will be furnished by the
Board.
Transcription equipment must be
delivered on the day of the examination before 9:00 A.M., and must
be removed upon completion of the examination. Arrangements for
equipment cannot be made through this office.
Applications to take the
examination must be filed with the Secretary on or
before October
13, 2009. Such applications, forms and regulations of the Board may
